2017 Staff

The Native News Honors Project is reported, photographed, edited and designed by students of the University of Montana School of Journalism. This is the 26th annual edition.

The class appreciates the guidance we received from Cherith Smith, a University of Montana pharmacy professor and a pharmacist with the Missoula Urban Indian Health Center. We also want to thank guest lecturers Anne Grant, former Elouise Cobell Fellow, and Melinda Janko, director of “100 YEARS, One woman’s fight for justice” and 2017 Dean Stone lecturer Nikole Hannah-Jones, New York Times Magazine reporter.
